Know Your Dates and Deadlines

Because the approval process can take up to seven weeks, it’s best to start well before the test date. Keep in mind:

• It is usually easier and more efficient to work through the school.
• SSD cannot review the request until all required documentation is received.
• If additional documentation is required—or if a request is resubmitted—approval can take an additional seven weeks.
• If you miss a deadline, accommodations might not be approved or in place on test day.

SAT Weekend 2024–2025

NOTE: Some accommodations cannot be provided in test centers. These are called "school-based accommodations" and can be administered over a 14-day window. The school-based testing windows for SAT Weekend run from the primary test date listed above, to the Friday of the second week. EXCEPTION: The school-based testing window for the August SAT runs from August 24 to September 13, 2024. See Taking the SAT with Accommodations for more information about school-based testing.
